A small revolution in the field, a condom for men or women was invented by a Malaysian gynecologist. Called Wondaleaf, this condom is nothing more than a polyurethane with adhesive on one side to attach to the vagina or penis. However, the invention could help to better prevent sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies, by offering more possibilities to couples.
This condom, available on the Malaysian market, was the subject of an effectiveness study showing a protection rate of 97.4%, a higher result than for the majority of conventional condoms. Originality and efficiency that cost the equivalent of €3.11 per box of 2 units. The company that manufactures this condom hopes to soon obtain certification that will allow it to be exported.
