Doctolib introduces an innovation: online payment, already operational for video consultations, will soon be extended to in-person consultations. Jean-Urbain Hubau, general manager, revealed this information to the Senate, emphasizing the objective of simplifying invoicing, whether it involves third-party payment or direct payment by the patient. This functionality promises significant time savings for healthcare professionals.
Currently in development, this solution, according to Jean-Urbain Hubau, will be launched this year: online payment in the second quarter and third-party payment towards the end of the year. Initially, it will only concern a selection of health professionals.
Doctolib, which already offers online payment, ensures on its site that transactions are secured by Stripe, a highly certified online payment provider. When paying, patients are asked to provide their bank card details and authorize the debit.
