A batch of cooked shrimp sold at Grand Frais is being recalled nationwide due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the bacterium responsible for listeriosis, according to the government's consumer recall platform, Rappel Conso.
The recall concerns whole cooked shrimp in 400g trays, sold between April 17 and 28, 2026, in Grand Frais and Fresh stores, and on monmarche.fr. The affected product codes are GTIN 3457650031125 and batch number 1042600847041.
Listeriosis can cause fever, headaches, and muscle aches, with an incubation period of up to eight weeks. Anyone who has consumed these shrimp and is experiencing symptoms should consult their doctor immediately, reporting that they ingested the product.
Severe illnesses can occur, particularly in pregnant women, the elderly, or immunocompromised individuals, due to neurological or fetal risks.
Customers can return the product to the store for a refund. The recall is in effect until May 21st.
