A national product recall has been issued for batches of eight Auchan brand chicken wings. These products, sold in all Auchan supermarkets in France from March 21 to April 3, have been identified as exceeding the alert threshold for the Listeria monocytogenes germ, which could lead to transmission of listeriosis to consumers.
People who have purchased this product are strongly advised to stop consuming it immediately and return it to the store or throw it away. The Rappel Conso platform indicates that “individuals who have consumed these “products” and who experience a fever, alone or accompanied by headaches and body aches, should consult their doctor, mentioning this consumption.” It is especially important for pregnant women, immunocompromised people, and the elderly to be alert for these symptoms. A refund of the product is possible in store.
