The Fruit Juice Science Centre, a scientific information organization for consumers and health professionals, announces the conclusions of a study carried out in collaboration with Savanta, a market research consultancy based in London.
Uncommon consumption of homemade fruit juices
37.8% of French people enjoy a glass of fruit juice every day and, among them, 42% are aged between 35 and 44. The consumption of homemade fruit juice remains very rare in France, with only 18.5% of French people preferring this option.
The significant impact of rising prices
On the other hand, a much larger proportion, 45.8%, prefer long-life fruit juices. Furthermore, the rise in prices has a significant impact on the consumption of fruit juices in France, because more than half of French people say they are reducing it due to inflation.
An excellent source of vitamin C
However, it is important to note that the French still recognize that fruit juices remain an excellent source of vitamin C. They are also convinced that fruits are one of the best sources to strengthen their immunity in winter.
Orange juice strengthens the immune system
Significantly, 80.2% of French people believe that orange juice is the main source of vitamin C, and 73.5% are convinced that its consumption strengthens their immune system.
