Three years after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, a recent survey on the morale of young French people (aged 18-30) conducted by the National Institute for Youth and Popular Education (INJEP) and the Research Center for the Study and Observation of Living Conditions (CRÉDOC) indicates an improvement in their well-being.
Despite persistent challenges such as inflation, climate change, and international conflicts, 64% of young people feel that their lives are in line with their expectations in 2023. Furthermore, their confidence in the future is increasing, with 67% expressing optimism for the next three years, compared to 44% of those over 30.
The job market appears to be improving, which seems to contribute to this better morale. The survey also notes that young women are experiencing an improvement in their state of mind; 47% of them express a positive feeling. In addition, a quarter of young people regularly engage in community activities, mainly in the field of sports.
