Three years after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, a recent survey on the morale of young French people (18-30 years old) carried out by the National Institute of Youth and Popular Education (Injep) and the Center for research for the study and observation of living conditions (Crédoc) indicates an improvement in their well-being.
Despite ongoing challenges such as inflation, climate change and international conflicts, 64% of young people believe their lives are in line with their expectations in 2023. Additionally, their confidence in the future is increasing, with 67% saying Among them showing optimism for the next three years, unlike 44% of those over 30.
The job market seems to be improving, which seems to contribute to this better morale. The survey also notes that young women are experiencing an improvement in their state of mind; 47% of them expressing a positive feeling. In addition, a quarter of young people regularly engage in community activities, mainly in the field of sport.
