Many people are unaware they are suffering from it
Today, the warning signs of the disease are little known to the general public and to the patients themselves. Thus, between 400,000 and 700,000 people are unaware they are suffering from it.
A disease with serious consequences
When heart failure is not diagnosed in time, and therefore not treated, people affected are exposed to the complications of a disease with serious consequences, with an increased risk of death and hospitalizations, some of which could be avoidable, but also a significant deterioration in their quality of life.
Encourage patients to consult
This is why Health Insurance is relaunching a major national awareness campaign among the general public, particularly among seniors, to raise awareness of the disease, the warning signs and encourage patients to consult their doctor if in doubt. .
Easily detectable symptoms
Unusual shortness of breath, swollen feet and ankles, rapid weight gain, excessive fatigue are the main symptoms which are easily detectable, provided you know how to recognize them.
