In France, the price of a consultation with a general practitioner will increase to 30 euros in December. This revaluation was fixed in a draft agreement finalized between Health Insurance and the unions of private doctors.
Currently at 26.50 euros, the consultation of general practitioners will therefore increase to reach 30 euros. The draft agreement also provides for upgrades for specialists and collective commitments for access to care. To enter into force, it must be ratified by a sufficiently representative group of unions.
In addition to this increase, the draft agreement includes “shared objectives” on access to care and control of prescriptions. These various increases ultimately represent 1.6 billion euros in additional expenses for health insurance, and 1.9 billion euros including the expenses of supplementary health insurance.
