This weekend, winter time will return during the night from Saturday to Sunday. In France this change was instituted in 1976 to respond to a concern for energy saving, and the latter is not without consequences on the health of certain people such as depressed people and insomniacs.
One more hour to sleep: at 3 a.m., it will be 2 a.m.
75% of French people believe that this change has a negative impact on their sleep, their diet and their mood.
Lack of attention, memory problems and increased daily stress are some of the symptoms linked to jet lag.
Advice from sleep specialists
For many specialists, a good preparation to pass this milestone smoothly should not be to go to bed earlier, because going to bed earlier does not mean falling asleep earlier!
Therefore, the good advice is to gradually get up earlier the three days before returning to the office. So schedule your alarm a few fifteen minutes later than usual and repeat this shift over your next 3 mornings.
