A batch of 16,000 boxes of Euphytose, a herbal medicine for stress and sleep, was recalled by the Bayer laboratory and the ANSM.
The reason: a Phenergan 25mg tablet, a prescription antihistamine, was found in a tube of Euphytose. Bayer is investigating this anomaly and assures that it is an isolated case.
The affected boxes have lot number SX2298 and expire in March 2025. Euphytose tablets are brown, unlike Phenergan which is blue. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The ANSM must release additional recommendations this Thursday.
